January 20-February 10: HOMEMy new faculty advisor seems more than willing to help me kick my own ass. I'm so happy. I have set assignments for myself that will last three weeks apiece, until early May. At that point, I'll begin a large spinoff of my 'animal journey' painting, probably acrylic on wood panel.
The first theme I've set deals with 'home'. It's too cold to go anywhere and I want to be with my boyfriend before he leaves for the next 7 weeks to work in Florida, so i have set up a mini-studio in the living room. Been painting vignettes of domestic scenes on rescued pentagons of wood.
Also making some iPhone drawings on a simple app called Doodle Buddy. Been making these for over a year now, but I have a neat plan for displaying printing them on lifelike iPhone 'frames'- need to research casting processes.
