"Community Arts Initiative: Fresh Eyes", presented by Hannah Burr.
As a teacher, this project was especially inspiring-- the artist chose famous works from the museum, discussed them with groups of children, and hung up the resulting observations, drawings and sound bytes in a delicate, color-coded installation. The kids' takes on the art were presented in an authentic but also respectful way, and their theories and responses were wise and often hilarious. I want to try this with my elementary school kids!
